hello!

This companion blog mainly hosts links that I want to mark for later reference. It's my virtual collection. As I read through literally thousands of blog postings, patterns naturally reveal themselves. Hey, it's a hobby that I enjoy. All links are gathered manually, i.e., I do not use any kind of automated search query. I figure I might as well share what I've found. Plus, I'm using this as a tester blog, so you might see a few oddities from time to time.

KT, the first time my sister from Texas visited me up in Ukiah was a glorious spring day so I took us off on a driving loop through Hopland and Boonville. She was nattering on and on about bluebonnets while I was extolling the virtues of poppies and lupines... so we drive by a huge patch of bluish lupines and she shouts "bluebonnets!" as I shout "lupines!"....yes they are ahead of us because Texas gets 90 degree spells by mid March (interrupted by hard freezes).

:) Do you and your sister have a bit of sibling rivalry? I wonder if TX's bluebonnets have varying years of abundance like our CA lupines?
